ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸੈਕੰਡਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ, ਦਸਵੀਂ ਤੱਕ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦਾ ਘੇਰਾ, ਘਰ-ਪਰਿਵਾਰ, ਸਕੂਲ, ਪ੍ਰਾਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਫੈਲ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ, ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਪਰਿਪੇਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੋਚ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੇ ਰੂਪਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਪਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਗਿਆਨ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਚੰਗੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਕਿਸ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਸੋ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਸਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਖ਼ਸ਼ੀਅਤ ਤੇ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੌਲਿਕ ਲੇਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਖਿਕ ਪ੍ਗਟਾਅ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਪਾਠ-ਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਖਿਲਰੇ-ਪੁਲਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੇ ਸਰਲ, ਸਹਿਜ ਤੇ ਮੌਲਿਕ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਧਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਿਤ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਸਦਕਾ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ-ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਮੰਚ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਤੇ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਨਾਲ਼ ਵਿਸ਼ਵੀਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੌਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਵੇਕਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਅ ਲਈ ਸੀ.ਬੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਈ. ਨੇ ਵੀ ਅਹਿਮ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ, ਉਚੇਚੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ਼ ਪਾਠ-ਕ੍ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਾਓ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ 20 ਅੰਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਂਤਰਿਕ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਨਾਲ਼, ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਖਸ਼ੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਉਪਰਾਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। 80 ਅੰਕ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੋਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਲਿਖਤੀ ਪਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਰਾਖਵੇਂ ਰੱਖੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
