- इस प्रश्न-पत्र में चार खंड हैं – ‘क’. ‘ख’. ‘ग’ और ‘घ’।
- खंड-‘क’ में अपठित गद्यांश से प्रश्न पूछे गए हैं, जिनके उत्तर दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए दीजिए ।
- खंड-‘ख’ में व्यावहारिक व्याकरण से प्रश्न पूछे गए हैं, आंतरिक विकल्प भी दिए गए हैं।
- खंड-‘ग’ पाठुयपुस्तक पर आधारित है, निर्देशानुसार उत्तर दीजिए।
- खंड-‘घ’ रचनात्मक लेखन पर आधारित है, आंतरिक विकल्प भी दिए गए हैं।
- यथासंभव सभी खंडों के प्रश्नों के उत्तर क्रमशः लिखिए।

1. निम्नलिखित गद्यांश को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़कर पूछे गए प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए :
7 धरती के भीतर होने वाले कंपन कई बार निदयों का मार्ग बदल चुके हैं। ऐसे में नदी कभी-कभी अपने मूल स्थान से मीलों दूर चली जाती है। इससे तटवर्ती नगरों-महानगरों के निर्माण तो ध्वस्त होते ही हैं, एक बड़े परिक्षेत्र की कृषि योग्य भूमि भी जलमग्न हो जाती है। अपने सबसे घातक और विनाशकारी रूप में आने वाला भूकंप सड़कों, राजमार्गों को तोड़ते हुए पूरे परिदृश्य को मौलिक रूप से बदलने के साथ ही, नई-नई झीलें भी बना सकता है। विश्व में अनेक ऐसे क्षेत्र हैं जहाँ भूकंप की दृष्टि से संवेदनशील इलाकों में घनी आबादी बसती है और नदियाँ भी बहती हैं। वहाँ गंभीर संकट मुँह बाए खड़ा है। यह जोखिम भरी स्थिति है।
