सलमा का पहला कदम बीमारी में ही क्यों बढ़ा था?

Solution: सलमा भोपाल गैस रिसाव की एक गंभीर शिकार थी, जिसके कारण उसे कई तरह की स्वास्थ्य समस्याएँ उत्पन्न हो गई थीं। जब से उसने होश संभाला, वह लगातार बीमार रही। इसी बीमारी की अवधि के दौरान, उसने धीरे-धीरे चलना सीखा और अपने पहले कदम बढ़ाए। इस प्रकार, उसका पहला कदम उसकी बीमारी की परिस्थितियों में ही उठाया गया था।

सलमा अपनी अम्माँ से क्या कहती थी जिससे उसकी अम्माँ उसे मार देती थी?

Solution:सलमा के अब्बू का निधन हो गया था, जिससे उसकी अम्मी गहरे सदमे में थीं और अक्सर विक्षिप्त अवस्था में रहती थीं। जब सलमा अपनी अम्मी से कहती कि अब्बू मर चुके हैं और वे वापस नहीं आएँगे, तो उसकी अम्मी को बहुत दुख होता था। इस दुख और आघात के कारण वे सलमा को मार देती थीं और कहती थीं कि ऐसी बातें नहीं कहनी चाहिए।

सलमा ने ऐसा क्यों कहा कि मैं तो अब जीना चाहती हूँ?

Solution:सलमा ने यह बात इसलिए कही क्योंकि वह आयुर्वेदिक दवाएँ ले रही थी और उसकी सेहत में धीरे-धीरे सुधार हो रहा था। उसे लगने लगा कि वह अब ठीक हो सकती है और एक सामान्य जीवन जी सकती है। इस सकारात्मक बदलाव और भविष्य की आशा के कारण वह जीने की इच्छा व्यक्त कर रही थी।

कौन किसकी देखभाल करना चाहता/चाहती है?

Solution:इस वाक्य के अनुसार, सलमा अपनी अम्मा की देखभाल करना चाहती है।

देखभाल (ख)

वह बड़ा/बड़ी होकर ही देखभाल करना क्यों चाहता/चाहती है?

Solution:सलमा गैस त्रासदी से पीड़ित है और उसका पूरा शरीर रोगी है। इस वर्तमान शारीरिक अवस्था में वह अपनी अम्मी की ठीक से देखभाल करने में सक्षम नहीं है। इसलिए, वह बड़ी होकर, जब वह शारीरिक रूप से अधिक सक्षम हो जाएगी, तब अपनी अम्मी की देखभाल करना चाहती है।

देखभाल (ग)

क्या वह छोटे होने पर भी देखभाल नहीं कर सकता/सकती है?

Solution:नहीं, सलमा छोटे होने पर भी अपनी अम्मी की देखभाल नहीं कर सकती है। जब यह दुर्घटना हुई तब वह बहुत छोटी थी और तभी से वह बीमार चल रही है। उसकी अपनी स्वास्थ्य संबंधी समस्याएँ इतनी गंभीर हैं कि वह स्वयं को भी ठीक से संभाल नहीं पाती, ऐसे में दूसरों की देखभाल करना उसके लिए संभव नहीं है।

देखभाल (घ)

अगर वह छोटे होने पर भी देखभाल करेगा/करेगी तो क्या हो सकता है?

Solution:यदि सलमा छोटे होने पर भी अपनी अम्मी की देखभाल करने का प्रयास करती, तो वह न तो स्वयं को ठीक से संभाल पाती और न ही अपनी अम्मी की उचित देखभाल कर पाती। उसके शरीर में इतनी ताकत और स्वास्थ्य नहीं है कि वह इस दोहरी जिम्मेदारी को निभा सके। इससे उसकी अपनी स्थिति और बिगड़ सकती थी।

शब्द प्रयोग

"मेरा गला और आँखें सूज जाती हैं, मेरा चेहरा सूजन की वजह से बड़ा रहता है।" ऊपर के वाक्य में सूज और सूजन शब्द का प्रयोग सार्थक ढंग से हुआ है। इसके साथ सूजना शब्द का प्रयोग भी किया जा सकता है। तुम भी अपने ढंग से कुछ ऐसे शब्दों की सूची बनाओ जिनके रूप में थोड़ा-बहुत अंतर हो तभी सार्थक ढंग से उसका प्रयोग किया जा सकता है; जैसे – टूट, टूटना, टूटन आदि।
