- (घ) शृगाल यह कहते हुए व्याघ्र का उपहास करता है कि तुम मनुष्यों से डरते हो। उत्तर: यत् मानुषात् बिभेषि इति वदन् जम्बुकः व्याघ्रस्य उपहासम् करोति।
- (ङ) बुद्धिमती ने शृगाल से कहा - "अरे धूर्त! तुमने मुझे पहले तीन व्याघ्र दिए थे। विश्वास दिलाने पर भी आज केवल एक लेकर कैसे जा रहे हो?" उत्तर: बुद्धिमती शृगाल उक्तवती - "रे रे धूर्त! त्वया मह्यम् पुरा व्याघ्रत्रयं दत्तम्। विश्वास्य अपि अद्य एकम् आनीय कथं यासि इति अधुना वद।"
