निम्नलिखित निर्देशों को बहुत सावधानी से पढ़िए और उनका सख़्ती से अनुपालन कीजिए :
(i) इस प्रश्न-पत्र में कुल 15 प्रश्न हैं। सभी प्रश्न अनिवार्य हैं।
- इस प्रश्न-पत्र में कुल चार खण्ड हैं – खण्ड क, ख, ग और घ।
- खण्ड क में कुल 2 प्रश्न हैं, जिनमें उपप्रश्नों की संख्या 10 है।
- खण्ड ख में कुल 4 प्रश्न हैं, जिनमें उपप्रश्नों की संख्या 20 है।
- खण्ड ग में कुल 5 प्रश्न हैं, जिनमें उपप्रश्नों की संख्या 21 है।
- खण्ड घ में कुल 4 प्रश्न हैं।
- प्रश्न-पत्र में समग्र विकल्प नहीं दिया गया है। यद्यपि, कुछ खण्डों में आंतरिक विकल्प दिए गए हैं, दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए।

- निम्नलिखित गद्यांश को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़कर उस पर आधारित दिए गए प्रश्नों के सर्वाधिक उपयुक्त उत्तर लिखिए:
7 दिनकर जी ने माना है कि उन पर प्रारम्भ से ही जितना प्रभाव रवीन्द्रनाथ ठाकुर का रहा उतना ही मोहम्मद इकबाल का। बाद में इलियट की काव्य-शैली और विचार-दृष्टि ने उनके कवि मानस को छूकर द्र भीतर तक उन्मथित कर दिया। परिणामत: उनकी कविताओं ने एक नई भंगिमा को ग्रहण किया।
दिनकर जी अपने युग के एक प्रमुख किव ही नहीं, सफल और प्रभावपूर्ण गद्य लेखक भी थे। सीधी-सरल भाषा और अत्यन्त प्रांजल शैली में उन्होंने विभिन्न साहित्यिक विषयों पर निबन्ध भी दिए हैं, तो बोधकथा, डायरी-संस्मरण भी, और दर्शन-इतिहासगत तथ्यों के विवेचन भी।
‘दिनकर’ जी जीवन भर संघर्षरत रहे। साहित्य और राजनीति दोनों के बीच उनका मन रमता था और इन दोनों ही क्षेत्रों में उनको सफलता मिली। साहित्य जगत द्वारा प्रदत्त ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार ने दिनकर जी को प्रफ़्ल्लित कर दिया। उनके अन्तरंग मित्रों को यह ज्ञात है कि ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार उनके जीवन के अन्तिम अध्याय का स्वर्णिम क्षण सिद्ध हुआ। पुरस्कार प्राप्त कर ‘दिनकर’ जी अभिभूत थे क्योंकि कवि का मन अपनी रचनाओं की स्वीकृति, विशेष रूप से सुधीजनों द्वारा उनका प्रशंसित और समादृत होना, अपनी सबसे बड़ी उपलिब्ध मानता है। ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार के मिलने के बाद उन्होंने अप्रैल, 1974 में तिरुपति की यात्रा की। जब ‘दिनकर’ जी मद्रास पहुँचे तो यह एक सुखद संयोग था कि उनके सर्वाधिक स्नेही मित्र थे गंगाशरण सिंह और जयप्रकाश बाबू भी वहीं थे। उसी शाम उन्होंने मद्रास के समुद्र तट पर अपने कुछ मित्रों को अपनी सुन्दर-सुन्दर रचनाएँ सुनाईं। तब कोई नहीं जानता था कि आज 23-24 अप्रैल की शाम गंगा की गोद में उत्पन्न दिनकर जी के अस्ताचल जाने की शाम थी। उसी रात मद्रास में ही ‘दिनकर’ जी की जीवन लीला समाप्त हो गई और फिर उनका पार्थिव शरीर मद्रास से दिल्ली होकर पटना लाया गया। 2 3/1/2 #
