7 विटामिन-डी एक ऐसा पोषक तत्त्व है, जिसे अकसर ‘सनशाइन विटामिन’ भी कहा जाता है, क्योंकि यह प्राकृतिक रूप से सूर्य की रोशनी से प्राप्त होता है। हमारे शरीर में यह विटामिन हड्डियों को मज़बूत बनाने, कैल्सियम और फॉस्फोरस के संतुलन को बनाए रखने तथा प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली को सुदृढ़ करने में महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है । हाल के वर्षों में दुनिया-भर में विटामिन-डी की कमी एक गंभीर स्वास्थ्य समस्या के रूप में उभर कर सामने आई है। आधुनिक जीवन-शैली, प्रदूषण और दफ़्तर तथा घर के भीतर लगातार रहने के कारण बहुत से लोगों में इस विटामिन की कमी हो रही है। यह कमी न केवल शारीरिक स्वास्थ्य पर गहरा असर डालती है, बल्कि मानसिक और सामाजिक स्तर पर भी इसके दूरगामी प्रभाव देखने को मिलते हैं। सूर्य की किरणें हमारे स्वास्थ्य के
