- इस प्रश्न-पत्र में कुल चार खंड हैं – क , ख, ग और घ ।
- खंड-क में अपठित बोध पर आधारित प्रश्न हैं।
- खंड-ख में व्यावहारिक व्याकरण पर आधारित प्रश्न हैं।
- खंड-ग में पाठ्य-पुस्तक एवं पूरक पाठ्य-पुस्तक पर आधारित प्रश्न हैं।
- खंड-घ में रचनात्मक लेखन पर आधारित प्रश्न हैं।
- प्रश्न-पत्र में समग्र विकल्प नहीं दिया गया है, यद्यपि कुछ खंडों में आंतरिक विकल्प दिए गए हैं।
- दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए।

1. निम्नलिखित गद्यांश को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़कर उस पर आधारित दिए गए प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए:
7 विश्व में जल-संकट बड़ी समस्या बन चुकी है। इससे हर साल करोड़ों लोग प्रभावित होते हैं। गर्मियों में यह संकट और बढ़ जाता है। गाँवों से महानगरों तक पानी के लिए त्राहि-त्राहि मचने लगती है। यह संकट न केवल ग्रामीण और शहरी आबादी के लिए गंभीर चुनौती है बल्कि कृषि पर भी इसका व्यापक प्रभाव पड़ रहा है। लगातार गिरता भू-जल स्तर, जल संसाधनों की बर्बादी, बढ़ती जनसंख्या और जलवायु परिवर्तन इस संकट को और विकराल बना रहे हैं। अगर समय रहते उचित कदम नहीं उठाए गए, तो भविष्य में स्थिति और गंभीर हो सकती है।
जल-संकट गहराने के कई कारण हैं। हमें पता है कि पानी सीमित है, फिर भी उसे बूँद-बूँद बचाने के बजाए हम उसे व्यर्थ बहा रहे हैं। विश्व की तेजी से बढ़ती आबादी के कारण पानी की माँग बढ़ती जा रही है लेकिन जल संसाधनों का उतनी ही अधिक तेजी से क्षय हो रहा है। कृषि, उद्योग और घरेलू उपयोग के लिए भू-जल का अत्यधिक दोहन किया जा रहा है, जिससे भू-जल का स्तर गिरता जा रहा है। नदियों, झीलों और भू-जल में औद्योगिक कचरे, रसायनों और प्लास्टिक के बढ़ते स्तर के कारण पीने योग्य पानी की लगातार कमी आ रही है।
