- निम्नलिखित गद्यांश को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़कर उस पर आधारित दिए गए प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए :
10 ‘मनुष्य विवेकशील प्राणी है तथा उसके सारे कार्य बुद्धि से प्रेरित हुआ करते हैं। उसमें उचित-अनुचित और भले-बुरे को समझने की विशेष बुद्धि होती है। इसलिए वह समस्त प्राणियों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ माना जाता है। भूत-वर्तमान और भविष्य के बीच तालमेल बैठाकर वह अपने क्रियाकलाप निश्चित करता है एवं तदनुसार ही उसके जीवन का भला-बुरा स्वरूप निर्मित होता रहता है।
प्राचीन काल में विचारशील मनुष्यों ने सुखी एवं उन्नतिशील समाज की रचना के उद्देश्य से उच्च आदर्शों की पृष्ठभूमि पर जिस आचरण-संहिता का निर्माण किया उसे समय-समय पर युगानुकूल परिवर्तनों तथा संशोधनों द्वारा निरंतर जीवंत बनाए रखा । मनीषियों के चिंतन स्वरूप हमें सत्-असत्, न्याय-अन्याय तथा धर्म-अधर्म की जानकारी प्रत्येक युग में मिलती रहती है।
मनुष्य ने सदा सुमित पाने की इच्छा प्रकट की। प्रत्येक सुखी एवं सदाचारी व्यक्ति सुमित का धनी होता है। बुद्धि यदि सुपथगामिनी होती है, तो विश्व की समस्त सिद्धियाँ सहज ही प्राप्त होती हैं तथा जीवन में सच्चे आत्म-संतोष एवं सुख का निवास होता है। ऐसा व्यक्ति अपने साथ औरों के सुख की भी कामना रखता है। ‘बुद्धिर्यस्य बलं तस्य’ अर्थात् वही शक्तिशाली है, जिसमें बुद्धि होती है।
सद्बुद्धि न केवल सही मार्गदर्शन कराती है, बल्कि व्यक्ति को समय-समय पर नियंत्रित भी करती है। जब कभी मनुष्य भावावेश में आकर सही मार्ग से भटक जाता है उस समय सद्बुद्धि उसे रोकने का प्रयास करती है तथा उसे उचित मार्ग पर चलने की प्रेरणा देती है।
जहाँ सुमित का अभाव होता है वहाँ दुर्मित का प्रभाव स्थापित हो जाता है। अपने सुख की चिंता में व्यक्ति स्वार्थ-केंद्रित हो जाता है। ईर्ष्या-द्वेष, छल-कपट, हिंसा, आदि भावनाएँ उसके मन-मस्तिष्क को कल्षित कर देती हैं।
