1. निम्नलिखित गद्यांश को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़कर दिए गए प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए :
जल ही जीवन है, जल को बचा लेना जैसे भावी जीवन को बचा लेना है। गर्मी बढ़ने के साथ ही जल की जरूरत और अधिक महसूस की जाती है। जल-संकट के मौजूदा हालात को देखते हुए जल आपूर्ति के विकल्प के रूप में तरण-तारिणी तालाब के महत्त्व को आज समझने की जरूरत है। जब देश में बड़े-बड़े बाँध अस्तित्व में नहीं थे, तब तालाब ही हमारे सिंचाई का एकमात्र साधन थे। वायु प्रवाह एवम् पर्यावरण के संतुलन की भूमिका में तालाब सहायक रहे हैं। आज जल-प्रबंधन और जल संचयन के हार्वेस्टिंग सिस्टम की जो दलीलें दी जाती हैं वह तालाब की संरचना है। तालाब हमारे जल सरोकार के परंपरागत साधन रहे हैं, उसे और अधिक बृहत् और विकसित रूप देकर इस साधन का अधिकाधिक लाभ ले सकते हैं। 10 29/2/3*
