सामान्य निर्देश :
निम्नलिखित निर्देशों को बहुत सावधानी से पढ़िए और उनका अनुपालन कीजिए :
(i) यह प्रश्न-पत्र तीन खंडों में विभाजित है ।
- खंड – क में अपठित बोध पर आधारित प्रश्न पूछे गए हैं। सभी प्रश्नों के उत्तर देना अनिवार्य है।
- खंड – ख में पाठ्यपुस्तक अभिव्यक्ति और माध्यम से प्रश्न पूछे गए हैं । प्रश्नों में आंतरिक विकल्प दिए गए हैं।
- खंड – ग में पाठ्यपुस्तक आरोह तथा वितान से प्रश्न पूछे गए हैं। प्रश्नों में आंतरिक विकल्प दिए गए हैं ।
- तीनों खंडों के प्रश्नों के उत्तर देना अनिवार्य है।
- यथासंभव तीनों खंडों के प्रश्नों के उत्तर क्रमशः लिखिए।

- निम्नलिखित गद्यांश को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़कर दिए गए प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए :
10 इतिहास से विरासत में हमें ‘भारतीय संगीत’ जैसी अमूल्य निधि मिली है । अन्य देशों के संगीत की अपेक्षा इसकी विशेषता हमारे पूर्वजों की मान्यता के आधार पर है। भारत में संगीत क्षणिक आमोद-प्रमोद या अतृप्त तृष्णा की वस्तु न होकर, समस्त ब्रह्मांड से ऐक्य का आभास है, आनंद प्रदान करने वाली आध्यात्मिक साधना है । मानव को ब्रह्म तक ले जाने वाला मार्ग है । संगीत के इस स्वभाव और ध्येय को हमारी सभ्यता के प्रारंभ में ही हमारे देश के लोगों ने पहचान लिया था और इसका विकास इन्हीं आदर्शों के अनुकूल किया गया था । भारतवासियों के संगीत- प्रेमी होने की बात का उल्लेख मैगस्थनीज़ भी कर गए हैं। दूसरी शताब्दी ई.पू. में उन्होंने ‘इन्डिका’ नामक अपने ग्रंथ में लिखा है कि ‘सब जातियों की अपेक्षा भारतीय लोग संगीत के कहीं अधिक प्रेमी हैं।’
