- खण्ड ग में पाठ्यपुस्तक आरोह तथा वितान से प्रश्न पूछे गए हैं। प्रश्नों में आंतरिक विकल्प दिए गए हैं।

- निम्नलिखित गद्यांश को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़कर उस पर आधारित प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए :
नि:शब्द धीमी चाल और सदियों का साक्षी – जब कोई प्राणी हमारी धरती पर प्रकृति का सबसे शांत लेकिन सबसे मज़बूत प्रहरी बनकर खड़ा हो, तो उसका महत्त्व केवल जैव-विविधता तक सीमित नहीं रह जाता, वह हमारी संस्कृति, चेतना और पर्यावरण की आत्मा बन जाता है। कछुआ, जो समय की रेत पर अपने धैर्य और दीर्घायु के पदचिह्न छोड़ता आया है, आज खतरे में है। 23 मई को मनाया जाने वाला विश्व कछुआ दिवस केवल एक दिन नहीं, बल्कि पुकार है, उस मौन जीवन के लिए, जिसे हमने वर्षों तक नज़रअंदाज किया और जो आज हमसे बचाव की गुहार कर रहा है।
मान्यता है कि कछुए धरती पर करोड़ों वर्षों से अस्तित्व में हैं। उन्होंने हिम युगों, महाविनाशों और भूगर्भीय परिवर्तनों को झेला है। उनके अस्तित्व की स्थिरता, उनकी धीमी लेकिन स्थायी जीवन-शैली का प्रमाण है। मगर दुखद है कि आज जिन संकटों का वे सामना कर रहे हैं वे किसी प्राकृतिक आपदा के नहीं, बल्कि मानवीय लालच और लापरवाही के कारण हैं। विश्व में ज्ञात 350 से अधिक कछुआ प्रजातियों में से लगभग 60 फीसदी प्रजातियाँ संकटग्रस्त या विलोप के कगार पर हैं। समुद्री कछुए-जैसे मादा ऑलिव रिडले, जो हजारों किलोमीटर तैरकर अंडे देने के लिए ओडिशा तट पर आती है, को जल और प्रकाश प्रदूषण तथा मानवीय हस्तक्षेप से भारी खतरा है। इन मूक प्राणियों के लिए संकट के प्रमुख कारणों में प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण, समुद्री तटों का अतिक्रमण, अवैध व्यापार और जलवायु परिवर्तन है।
कछुआ हमें सिखाता है कि दौड़ना ज़रूरी नहीं, टिके रहना ज़्यादा ज़रूरी है। यह भी कि मौन शक्ति की एक अलग भाषा है, जो शब्दों से नहीं, बल्कि कर्म से बोलती है। उनकी धीमी चाल में हमें भविष्य की गूँज सुनाई देती है कि यदि हम उन्हें बचा पाए तो खुद को बचा पाएँगे।
