(i) इस प्रश्न-पत्र में कुल 17 प्रश्न हैं । सभी प्रश्न अनिवार्य हैं ।
- इस प्रश्न-पत्र में दो खण्ड हैं – खण्ड अ और खण्ड ब । खण्ड अ में बहुविकल्पी/वस्तुपरक और खण्ड ब में वर्णनात्मक प्रश्न दिए गए हैं।
- खण्ड अ में कुल 10 प्रश्न हैं, जिनमें उपप्रश्नों की संख्या 49 है। दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए 40 उपप्रश्नों के उत्तर देना अनिवार्य है।
- खण्ड ब में कुल 7 प्रश्न हैं। सभी प्रश्नों के साथ उनके विकल्प भी दिए गए हैं। निर्देशानुसार विकल्प का ध्यान रखते हुए सभी प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए।
- प्रश्नों के उत्तर दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए लिखिए।
- यथासंभव सभी प्रश्नों के उत्तर क्रमानुसार ही लिखिए।

छठ इस संसार में अपनी तरह का ऐसा पर्व है, जो अपनी व्यंजना में बहुआयामी है। सूर्य इस त्योहार का केंद्र है । सूर्य जीव-जगत के आधार हैं । सूर्य के बिना कोई भी भोग-उपभोग संभव नहीं है। अतः सूर्य के प्रति आभार प्रदर्शन के लिए छठ या सूर्य षष्ठी व्रत मनाया जाता है, तो कोई आश्चर्य नहीं । सूर्य उन क्षेत्रों के लिए सबसे उपयोगी है, जहाँ पानी की उपलब्धता ज्यादा है। पूर्वांचल में निदयों का जाल बिछा है, ऐसे में सूर्य का ताप लेना जीवन के लिए सबसे जरूरी हो जाता है। हमारी सूर्य-केंद्रित संस्कृति कहती है कि वही उगेगा, जो डूबेगा । अतः छठ में पहले दिन डूबते और फिर दूसरे दिन उगते सूर्य की पूजा स्वाभाविक है ।
नीरोग रहने के लिए भी सूर्य की बड़ी जरूरत है । सूर्य के ताप में रोगनाशक शक्ति है । अक्सर लोग छठ महापर्व के समय स्वास्थ्य को लेकर भी प्रार्थना करते हैं । जब कोरोना का उभार हुआ था, तब लोग आश्वस्त थे कि एक बार सूर्य की तपन बढ़ेगी, तो कोरोना वायरस नष्ट हो जाएगा । यह जो भ्रम था, वह सूर्य के प्रति हमारी आस्था का ही परिणाम था । यह भी सत्य है कि सूर्य के प्रति हमारी आशा का कोई विकल्प भी नहीं है । सूर्य के बिना भारत की जैव-विविधता, जीवन और स्वास्थ्य का मेल नहीं बन सकता । आधुनिक जीवन की मज़बूरी में जब अक्षय-ऊर्जा की बात होती है, तब लोगों की नजर सूर्य की ओर ही जाती है। अर्थात् किन्हीं अर्थों में सूर्य हमारा अतीत ही नहीं, भविष्य भी है।
