निम्नलिखित निर्देशों को बहुत सावधानी से पढ़िए और उनका सख़्ती से अनुपालन कीजिए :
(i) इस प्रश्न-पत्र में कुल 18 प्रश्न हैं। सभी प्रश्नों के उत्तर देना अनिवार्य है।
- इस प्रश्न-पत्र में दो खंड हैं – खंड-‘अ’ और खंड-‘ब’।
- खंड-‘अ’ में उपप्रश्नों सहित 45 बहृविकल्पी / वस्तुपरक प्रश्न पूछे गए हैं। दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए कुल 40 प्रश्नों के उत्तर लिखिए।
- खंड-‘ब’ में वर्णनात्मक प्रश्न पूछे गए हैं, आंतरिक विकल्प भी दिए गए हैं।
- ्रप्रश्नों के उत्तर दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करते हुए लिखिए।
- यथासंभव दोनों खंडों के प्रश्नों के उत्तर क्रमशः लिखिए।

पृथ्वी पर लगातार मॅंडराते खतरे को देखते हुए एक अमेरिकी उद्यमी द्वारा एक इंसानी बीज बैंक को चाँद पर स्थापित करने की तैयारी हो गई है। अगर कभी इस धरती पर इंसान खत्म हो गए तो मानव सभ्यता को फिर शुरू करने में यह बैंक सहायक होगा । एक भी इंसान नहीं बचा, तो फिर बैंक का क्या होगा ? यह भी सोच लिया गया है । उस स्थिति में शायद कभी किसी और ग्रह से जीव या एलियन आएँगे और चाँद पर पहुँचकर उस बैंक के सहारे इंसान जैसी खूबसूरत कृति पुनः निर्मित करेंगे । पृथ्वी पर विनाश की स्थिति में मानव बीज बैंक ही मानव के पुनर्जन्म की संभावना को जीवित रखेगा । ऐसा स्वप्न देखने वाली कंपनी लाइफशिप की स्थापना 2019 में हो गई थी । यह कंपनी लार के रूप में लोगों का डी एन ए चाँद पर भेजने की पेशकश करती है। यह एक तरह से 99 डॉलर में चाँद के लिए एकतरफा टिकट है। चाँद पर आपकी लार मानव बीज बैंक में हमेशा के लिए रह जाएगी । वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण से देखें तो यह मानव डाटा या मानव अस्तित्व के मूल को हमेशा के लिए संरक्षित करने का काम है। सौरमंडल के विभिन्न हिस्सों में और शायद उससे आगे भी ऐसे किसी बैंक की स्थापना संभव है।
