सामान्य निर्देश:

  1. इस प्रश्न-पत्र में 14 प्रश्न हैं।
  2. सभी प्रश्न अनिवार्य हैं।
  3. खण्ड क – प्रश्न संख्या 1 और 2 स्रोत आधारित 1 अंक वाले प्रश्न हैं । इन प्रश्नों का उत्तर 10 – 15 शब्दों से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए /
  4. खण्ड ख – प्रश्न संख्या 3 से 9, 2 अंकों वाले प्रश्न हैं । यह अति लघु-उत्तरीय प्रश्न हैं । इन प्रश्नों का उत्तर 30 शब्दों से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए।
  5. खण्ड ग – प्रश्न संख्या 10 से 12, 4 अंकों वाले प्रश्न हैं । यह लघु-उत्तरीय प्रश्न हैं । इन प्रश्नों का उत्तर 80 शब्दों से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए।
  6. खण्ड घ – प्रश्न संख्या 13 और 14, 6 अंकों वाले प्रश्न हैं । यह दीर्घ-उत्तरीय प्रश्न हैं । इन प्रश्नों का उत्तर 200 शब्दों से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए।

खण्ड क

1. स्रोत को पढ़िए तथा प्रश्न का उत्तर दीजिए :

नगरों में स्थित उत्पादकों के द्वारा बनाए गए विलासिता के सामानों, ढाका या मुर्शीदाबाद की उच्च-कोटि की रेशम की माँग में दरबारों के विघटन के बाद भारी कमी हो गई । ये उत्पाद जिन बाह्य बाज़ारों पर निर्भर थे उनका भी कमोबेश सफ़ाया हो गया था । दूर-दराज के क्षेत्रों के ग्राम, शिल्प विशेषत: पूर्वी भारत के उन क्षेत्रों के अतिरिक्त जहाँ अंग्रेज़ों का प्रवेश जल्दी और सघन था, अधिक समय तक स्थिर रहे, जब तक कि रेलवे के विस्तार ने उन्हें गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित नहीं किया ।

जब अंग्रेज़ों ने भारत के राज्यों और कस्बों पर अधिकार कर लिया, तो इन राजसभाओं के संरक्षण में कार्यरत कारीगर, कलाकार और कुलीन लोगों का भी पतन हुआ । इसका कोई एक कारण दीजिए। 1
