While on the train, Satyajit reflected on his journey from being a mere clerk to a manager, and now finding himself in a situation that felt like a full circle, bringing him back to a point of uncertainty. This reflection taught him a life lesson: success achieved too early or without genuine effort might lead to an equally rapid failure. He realized that success gained by chance or external help often comes at a cost and ultimately leads to downfall. He felt he was on a path of glory without true hard work, leaving him without clear direction for the future after losing everything.
